1932 Ford 3-Window Hi-Boy Coupe "El Chupacabra" SOLD*SOLD*SOLD

1932 Ford Hi-Boy CoupeThis outstanding street rod features a Ravon Street Rods body with steel tilt front-end and pop out panels.  The body has suicide doors with hidden hinges and latches, a filled cowl and roof with a rolled  rear pan.  The top is chopped 2.5 inches and also has a front channel of 2.5 inches.  The firewall has been smoothed and the Rodtronics Remote Entry provides easy access. The left and right side and rear windows are electric and the dash is tastefully simple due to the full electronic digital instrumentation package from Dakota Digital.  Oldsmobile Toronado turn lights have been molded into the rear while the front 32 grill shell tastefully conceals the turn signal and running lights.

Front ViewThe chassis, a set of Just a Hobby Rails, is boxed and painted with the same Sikkens Hawaiian Orchid clear coat that adorns the Coupe's tastefully applied two-tone top and bottom pattern. Complemented by multi-colored gray side graphics, this Coupe presents an awesome image whether in a nocturnal prowl or a stationary show-car stance.  The name of El Chupacabra bestowed on the Coupe by the present owner is well suited to this dangerously beautiful example of high tech craftsmanship.

Powered by a 355 cubic inch small block Chevrolet motor, the 780 Holly four-barrel carburetor feeds the beast through a B & M forced induction supercharger.  A Crossfire HEI Ignition keeps the fire lit while an RV cam assures adequate lift and duration to meet the demands of the blower built motor.  The electric fuel pump pulls the gas at a regulated level from the stainless fuel cell.  The Coupe is generously 355 Chevy Motoradorned with chrome pans, covers and engine accessories such as chromed alternator and air conditioning compressor, stainless exhaust, coated headers, billet boxes and tanks, covers and pulleys.

The engine is coupled to a 350Turbo transmission hooked up to a fully boxed aluminum Corvette limited-slip differential with road gears.  The Coupe is knee-deep in rubber thanks to the P28570SR15 T/A Radials on 12 inch Budnik one-of-a-kind wheels.  The stainless TCI independent front suspension with coil-over shocks has also been fitted with B F Goodrich T/A radials of the P190SR14 variety on matching Budnik 7 inch wheels.

Nice and Clean! This is one cool breather thanks to the Walker Radiator and thermostatically controlled Slim Jim Electric Fan which kicks in when the motor reaches a temperature of 180 degrees. Driver and passenger are always in the comfort zone thanks to the ample Vintage Heat and Air Conditioning System.  Crank up the AIWA radio/tape player, pop in a fifties oldies tape and Cruise.  You will not have any problem stopping because the four-wheel Wildwood disc brakes will whoa the four hundred ponies in a heart beat.  The custom wrap-around dash and overhead counsel feature rosewood inlays and custom billet components such as armrests while the silver velour Dodge Daytona seats fit comfortably under the leather wrapped LaCarra steering wheel. The wheel is comfortably placed and mounted on a telescoping tilt Cadillac Steering column.

One last thing - no one can steal your license tag while the car is immobile thanks to the retractable holder that only shows the license when the engine is running!

Priced to sell at $35,999 U.S., far less than it cost to build.
